Forest patrol team and hunters clashed in Rautahat

A clash took place between a forest patrol team and a group of hunters in the forest of Chandrapur Municipality, Ward No. 3, Bholantar of Rautahat. After the clash, a group of eight hunters dispersed in the forest, and the patrol team managed to capture one of them. The arrested is identified as Sitaram Syangtan of Chandrapur Municipality-3, Rautahat. Further investigation into the incident is underway.
The forest patrol team had increased their activities after hearing that widespread timber smuggling was taking place in the forest taking the advantage of COVID-19 period.
