Police arrested 67-year-old Bhagiraj Damai of Itahari-3 on June 2 on the charge of raping a nine-year-old girl with physical and mental disabilities.
After her father's death, her mother remarried and she was left destitute. she has been living at her aunt's house in Itahari Sub-metropolis-3. The accused had raped the victim in her own room on June 1, the locals witnessed the incident and reported it to police.
