The victim on June 1 has lodged a complaint against 21-year-old Shiva Kumar Yadav of Bishwa Rural Municipality-7, Dulwa on the charge of abducting and raping a 19-year-old girl.
The victim is accused of raping the victim and fleeing after spending 23 days with her saying that his family won't accept a lower caste girl.
The victim has alleged that Yadav's family kept her in the barn saying that they could not make a 'lower caste' girl his daughter-in-law and that his hand would not work.
Community leader Mahesh Paswan said Chief of the Women's Peace Service Center Banita Kakir, a police team from the District Police Office, human rights activists, and others rescued the girl from the cowshed.
The victim has been examined at the District Hospital, Malangwa on May 31.
