Tek Bahadur Ingwa Limbu, a 79-year-old man, was stabbed to death by a sharp weapon on June 12 in Phidim Municipality-4,  Jorsal of Panchthar district. The deceased is a retired Indian soldier. Locals said that he received the pension from the bank on June 10. According to police, Ingwa had sustained serious injuries in his head and body. 

Limbu used to live with his wife with physical disabilities. The incident became public after the daughter-in-law of the deceased arrived there on June 13 morning to meet her in-laws. Police have now sealed the house and started an investigation.

Police arrested 59-year-old Jib Narayan Shrestha of Phidim-2 Pallatar on the charge of the murder of 79-year-old Tek Bahadur Limbu in Jorsal near Phidim, the district headquarters of Panchthar. There was a problem in the investigation as there was not enough evidence at the murder scene. Police brought a trained dog from Dharan to investigate the incident. A State Police Bureau team was also mobilized. The investigation was hampered by the lack of sufficient evidence and the fact that the deceased's wife was physically disabled.

The arrested Shrestha used to have disputes over the farm land issues with the deceased. On the day of the incident, it was revealed that there was a dispute over water for placing paddy beds in the field, police said. Jada Limbu was killed when he found water in Shrestha's farm  at around 7.30 pm on the night of the incident.
