Police arrested a 33-year-old Madhav Ghimire of Panchkhal Municipality-6, Kabhrepalanchok, on the charge of killing his spouse and son by poisoning them. According to the police, they arrested Ghimire while he was fleeing on the inner street of Karuna Marg in Banepa Municipality-8 on June 17. Police found the dead bodies of  30-year-old Manisha Karki and her 6-year-old son Yuwan, in a rented house of Banepa Municipality.

Police admitted the accused to Sheer Memorial Hospital, Banepa after he said that he had also taken poison. According to the police, Ghimire’s health condition is normal. Police have sent the bodies of the deceased to Dhulikhel Hospital for postmortem. A further investigation is underway.
