Youths staged a demonstration in Babarmal of Kathmandu on Thursday protesting against Education minister Krishnagopal Shrestha who openly expressed his support for a woman accused of discriminating against a Dalit girl Rupa Sunuwar. Minister Shreshtha gave a lift to the accused woman on his vehicle after she was released from custody. The youths expressed anger stating that the State was showing sympathy towards someone accused of discriminating on the basis of caste.
