Missing woman's hair found in a ditch; murder suspected

Sujitadevi Thakur, the wife of Mukesh Thakur of Loharpatti Municipality-7, has been missing since June 2. Police said that her hair was found while digging four feet in Mukesh's field, the spot shown by Sujitadevi's relatives. Police started a search operation in Mahottari after the relatives of the missing woman claimed that she was killed and her body was buried in a field. Police have cordoned off the area. A police investigation team has reached the spot on suspicion of finding the body in the same pit.

The victim's relatives tried to lodge a murder complaint last week against 50-year-old father-in-law Patiram Thakur, 26-year-old brother-in-law Rupesh Thakur,  and 25-year-old sister-in-law  Romi Thakur which police had refused. The victim's family then applied a missing complaint.

The body of Sujita Thakur of Mahottari, who has been missing since June 2, has been found. The body of Sujita, 26, of Bhramarpura in Loharpatti Municipality Ward No. 7 of Mahottari has been found. Sujita's body was recovered from the toilet near the petrol pump, according to Mahottari Police. The body was found after a joint excavation by the State Police Office, Janakpur and Mahottari Police. According to Prakash Bista, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mahottari, mother-in-law, father-in-law Patiram and mother-in-law Roma have been arrested.
