The United Dalit Struggle Committee (Sarlahi) burnt the effigy of Education Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha in the district headquarters in Malangwa demanding the resignation of Education Minister Shrestha. They protested against the release of a housewife arrested in Kathmandu on charges of racial discrimination against journalist Rupa Sunar.
