Facilitator teachers of child development centers in Kapilvastu Municipality staged a sit-in at the municipal office in Toulihawa on July 2 demanding a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 as prescribed by the government through budget speech. Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel had fixed the salary of the facilitator teachers at Rs 15,000 with the government giving Rs 8,000 and the remaining Rs 7,000 being given by the local municipality but the municipality gave only 4,000.
