The Armed Police Force allegedly assaulted a mentally unstable adolescent at the Nepalgunj customs checkpoint on July 5. According to the victim, Jhalak Nepali, a resident of Jamunaha, was assaulted with boots and sticks by one female and four male members of the Armed Police Force for no apparent reason over the pretext of looking for cannabis. He was left with bruises on his hands, body injuries, and four cuts on his head.
