Twelve construction workers working at the Patan-Pancheshwor road in Baitdai are on a hunger strike for the past five days after not receiving wages for 21 months. Twelve people, including six women and six men, are on hunger strike since July 2. They have said that they have not reeved the wages they have worked for since the roads under the federal government came under the state government. The victim workers said that the Infrastructure Development Office had verbally instructed them to work while the Road Division Office was handing over the road to the Infrastructure Development Office.
