Locals padlocked the office of Katari Municipality-4 on July 8 demanding to change the route of the transmission line and to get compensation as recommended by the municipality if the route is not changed. Locals of Katari Municipality-4 Maruwa demanded that compensation for both public and numbered lands in the area where the Solu Corridor transmission line is to be extended should be as recommended by the municipality. The municipality recommended compensation at the rate of Rs 5 million per unit.

The council of ministers decided to compensate the public land after the locals obstructed the transmission line extension. But after the locals of the Maruwa area refused, the local administration has been trying to move the work forward by using force for two days. The local administration also mobilized a large number of armed forces and Nepal Police in the area to carry out the obstructed work.
