Sudurpashchim, Dadeldhura, Amargadhi
The Bolanya Thali unit of Dadeldhura staged a protest on July 9 by burning tires in front of the district administration office against the shortage of petrol alleging that it resulted from the black-marketing and artificial scarcity.
There are two petrol pumps in Dadeldhura including Bir Betal and Ugratara Oil. However, both these pumps are accused of supplying petrol to the grocery stores without giving it to the consumers. Even in the pandemic, the local administration remained silent even when the petrol pumps are black-marketing.
Co-coordinator Tamoli said that the administration had turned them away from the gate when they tried to hand over the memorandum to the chief district officer. Complaints of non-availability of petrol at the pumps operating in the district are increasing day by day. Motorcycle riders have complained that petrol is available in bottles everywhere in the market but the service recipients are being turned away.
