Mayor accused of abusing a woman in Dhankuta

Kopila Shankar, a 50-year-old resident of Dhankuta Municipality-6 accused Mayor Chintan Tamang of abusing her during a telephone conversation on July 12 regarding the problem of drinking water and waste management. Kopila accused the mayor in a press meeting on July 14. According to Shankar, the mayor should publicly apologize for the insult, otherwise, she will go to the upper body for justice.
