The body of Kamala Khatri Khadka, a 25-year-old resident of Chharikhola in Triveni Rural Municipality-4 was found dead in a barn near her house. Locals suspect that she might have been murdered when she went to feed the buffalo in a cowshed in Kuralkhola on July 26. Maize and grass were found crashed near the place where her body was found.
Police arrested three persons on the charge of suspicion of Khadka's murder. Among the arrested are Keshar Bahadur Khadka, the brother-in-law of the deceased Khadka and his 15 years old and 11 years old sons. District Police Chief DSP Dhruv Kumar Shrestha said that not everything can be said as it is under investigation.
According to police, she was brutally killed in a maize field while returning from her cowshed about 200 meters away from her house. Her body was found with a mark of a sharp weapon on her head, one ear cut off and a red mark around her neck. All the gold ornaments on her ears, nose and neck were missing.
