Province 1, Morang, Biratnagar, Ward 5
Locals stage a protest against Mayor Bhim Parajuli on July 29 on the charge of discriminating against the people of the metropolis. They accuse him of vaccinating his cadres against the coronavirus. The locals had chased away Mayor Parajuli after he reached the house of Congress booth committee president Bimal Raj Bhandari, a resident of Biratnagar-5, at around 9 pm on July 28 to vaccinate him. Only Congress cadres close to him were informed about the vaccination. Local Praveen Niraula said that about 15 to 20 cadres were already vaccinated by the time the locals protested.
