Young entrepreneurs and locals of Hariwan stage a protest by blocking the East-West Highway for 15 minutes against the Electricity Authority (NEA) over the issue of irregular power cuts and low voltage in Sarlahi. Protestors urged NEA to solve the problem saying that the business affected by the Covid pandemic has been further affected by the problem of electricity.

They also warned that they will launch a phased struggle against the authority from August 1 if they do not show interest in resolving the power cut issue as the business and online classes of students have also been affected. Earlier, the locals also handed over a memorandum to the Chief District Officer through the Area Administration Office, Hariwan, demanding an immediate solution to the problem of power cuts and low voltage in Sarlahi.
