Teachers staged a hunger strike and sit-in demanding 34 points including service facilities for civil servants in all 10 municipalities of Balgung under the leadership of the Nepal Teachers Federation and education development and coordination units of the district. They demanded that the Teachers Service Commission should make a Constitutional Education Commission, provision should be made in the Education Act for the formation of the school management committee, teachers should be vaccinated against covid and staff posts should be maintained in community schools.
