'Nepalis without Citizenship' group organized a sit-in at Maitighar in Kathmandu on August 4 demanding to pass the Citizenship Bill under consideration in the Parliament as soon as possible. The participants in the demonstration demanded the implementation of Article 11, Clauses (3) and (5) of the Constitution. They also demanded compensation for services lost in the past due to lack of citizenship. After the sit-in, they took out a rally that reached New Baneshwor and turned into a corner rally.
