The United Students' Organization at Midwestern University started an indefinate relay hunger strike on August 4 alleging that the university for ignoring the 18-point demand of the students.
Along with the students, the professors also joined the strike. Students and professors in particular are dissatisfied with the Vice-Chancellor's working style. Due to the agitation, all the examinations of the university are not being conducted and the reading is being obstructed. On the one hand, while the students are demanding online exams, the university has been saying that under no circumstances will the exams be conducted online. Student leader Mamata Adhikari said the agitation would continue till the university addresses the demands of the students.
