Vice-chancellor accused of beating protesting students in Midwestern University

Students protesting at Midwestern University were beaten by police. Eight of the protesting students were arrested. The four students injured in the beating are admitted to Karnali State Hospital. The students, who were on a relay strike demanding various things, had announced that they would not allow university vehicles to run from August 10. From the central building, Vice-Chancellor P.D

There was a scuffle between the students and the police after Vice-chancellor Professor Doctor Nanda Singh reached Mid-western University's School of Management (MUSOM) in a university vehicle from the central building. Roshan Basnet, Raj Poudel, Bhupendra Bam, Sandesh Thapa, Govind Sinjapati, Roshan Mishra, Tej Bahadur Bam, Zakku Shah and others were injured in the clash. After the clash in MUSOM, the students surrounded the Vice-Chancellor's residence. The students alleged that they were beaten under the protection of the vice-chancellor Nanda Bahadur Singh. Some people at the residence of Vice-Chancellor Singh had attacked the protesting students.
