Sudurpashchim, Kanchanpur, Bhimdatta
The Nepal Teachers Association is agitated against the long-delayed allocation (DARBANDI) of teacher posts in BhimDatta Municipality of Kanchanpur. Teachers affiliated with the union have been protesting in the municipality for three weeks now. They have even padlocked the education branch of the municipality. The teachers' union started a sit-in and padlocked the education department from July 18. The sit-in program was turned into a relay strike on August 2.
The teachers' union of Kanchanpur has alleged that the mayor has arbitrarily filled the posts of the Education and Human Resource Development Center contrary to the Teacher Post Allocation Procedure 201. The association has stated that the teachers affiliated with the association have been transferred in a biased manner.
