Police arrested 44-year-old Birendra Bahadur Singh of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-2 Malika Tol on August 14 on the charge of raping a 21-year-old girl. Singh, a fugitive accused of the rape incident, was arrested from Shikhar Municipality-2. The father of the victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Doti on August 16 alleging that his daughter was called to a hotel at Pipalla Bazaar in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-4 and raped on January 16.
