Employees of Hotel Annapurna at Durbar Marg in Kathmandu stage protest at the hotel premises on August 18 demanding the provision of a minimum wage during the Corona pandemic. They warned to agitate further if their demands are not fulfilled.
They chanted slogans against the hotel management saying that they have not paid even the minimum monthly salary of Rs 5,000 given by the government for two years. Chairman of Hotel Annapurna Official Trade Union, Prakash Neupane, said that they had to join the agitation after the hotel management failed to provide even the minimum wage as agreed with the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN).
