The family of Priyanka Bhujel, a teenager of Lalbandi Municipality-17 who was raped and murdered, refused to take her dead body. The body of the deceased that was examined on August 18 is still at the district hospital. 18-year-old Kisan Sahand 19-year- old Anish Dahal of Lalbandi were arrested on the charge of involvement in the incident. Locals had blocked the east-west highway in Lalbandi for two hours on August 18 demanding an investigation into the incident and action against the culprits. A three-hour discussion was also held between the victims and the representatives of the security agencies on August 19.

The aggrieved party said that they would not get justice from the Area Police Office accusing them of not making the culprits public. They are going to submit a memorandum to the District Administration Office today. MP Pramod Sah also met the victim and informed the Chief Minister of Province 2 Lal Babu Raut about the incident.
