CPN-UML leaders and cadres of the National Youth Association of Nepal stage a protest by burning tires at the local Shiva Chowk in Janakpurdham on August 24 against Nepal Oil Corporation on its hike in the price of petroleum products.
Jani Khan, a member of the central secretariat of the association, demanded immediate withdrawal of the price hike as the people would suffer more due to the price hike. They further added that they'd go on a phased movement if the price hike is not withdrawal. Corporation has increased the price of diesel, petrol and kerosene by Rs.2 and Rs. 25 of LP gas per cylinder from Monday 12pm.
