Parents of Sita Bhandari Poudel, a resident of Tilottma-5, alleged that their daughter who supposedly committed suicide by hanging on September 5, was rather murdered because the rope she used to hang herself was already cut off when they reached the scene. Hari Prasad Bhandari, father of Sita claimed that their son-in-law was trying to disguise murder as suicide. He further claimed that his daughter sustained several injuries on her body, the only left side of the knots were tied by her shawl, dead body was facing downwards when they saw the body and she was beaten to death.
According to the father, his son-in-law, Tika Poudel and his sister Bishnu Poudel killed his daughter and because of the money and power of his son-in-law, justice was not served and Poudel was saved whereas the police refused to report the case. According to the police, they were unable to lodge a complaint because the postmortem report shows the cause of death as suicide and the police further assumed that the cause of the suicide might be because of the behavior of her husband, Tika Poudel.
