Police arrested 24-year-old Sher Bahadur Shahi of Khandachakra Municipality-10, on September 17, on the charge of physically assaulting and evicting his 22-year-old wife Nanda Kaura Shahi from their house on September 16.
According to Inspector Bhupendra Shahi of the District Police Office, the accused was arrested from a hotel in the district headquarters Manma on the basis of a complaint lodged by the victim at the District Police Office alleging that she was beaten and evicted. The victim sustained back and hand injuries due to the beating.
