Kamal Singh Rana, a 32-year-old brick industrialist, was attacked with a khukuri at the gate of the Biratnagar Highcourt on September 26, around 12:15 p.m. Rana is being treated at Biratnagar Hospital after being injured in the Khukuri attack. Bimal Karki, 25, of Rampur, and Mahammad Sajid Miya,53, of Dhanpal Than rural municipality-1, was arrested in Biratnagar-6 on suspicion of carrying out the khukuri attack. According to Morang Police, Karki used a khukuri to first attack Lama's hand, then his stomach and other parts of his body. The dispute over the brick factory in Lama's Katahari rural municipality-6, which caused the incident, is under consideration in the court.

Kalam Singh Lama, a brick kiln entrepreneur was charged Khukuri on September 26 outside the high court in Biratnagar. A police investigation found that the act was planned by his business partner Mohammad Sajik Miya by giving 50000 rupees. Miya and Bimal Karki who was involved in the attack are arrested by the police while two others are still absconding. Among the absconding are Ramesh Rajbahak of Bhaktapur and Netra Kattel from Morang. Police have made necessary arrangements to file the case in court against the perpetrators in an attempt to murder.
