Kalpana Singh Malla, a 26-year-old pregnant woman from Shikhar Municipality-6, Doti, died the next day at 8 a.m. after being admitted to Nawajivan Hospital in Dhangadi on September 24. According to the hospital administration, she gave birth on the night of September 24 but died the next morning due to excessive bleeding. However, the deceased's relatives blamed the doctor's carelessness as the primary cause of her death. On September 26, they picketed the hospital and demanded a medical report on the deceased, citing specific reasons for her death. The newborn baby is kept in the hospital's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (N-ICU).
