Police arrested a 21-year-old, Ganesh BK,  on September 17, on the charge of murdering a 22-year-old Asmita Bogati of Bhawani in Narayan Municipality-10 and later ditching her in Bhairi River. According to the police, the accused murdered the victim on August 30, at 10 pm after the dispute happened between the alleged lovers. The victim's body was recovered on August 31 in  Gurans rural municipality-5 Goganpani. The body was buried in Narayan municipality-8, Jhupresal jungle after the postmortem on September 4.  

However, the accused was been denying the murder accusation and was claiming that he is married and has a child and when he disagreed to get married to the victim, she jumped into the river as an attempted suicide, her body was found the next day. According to the police, the victims family lodged the complaint against the accused after collecting the evidence.  According to the police's investigation, the victim left the house heading to Surkhet on August 31 to get married in Upper Dhungeshwor with the accused. While checking the call details through Asmita's mobile number, it was revealed that Ganesh BK had committed the murder.
