Nepal Tamang Ghedung of Bakaiya rural municipality organized a peaceful protest at Hetauda on September 27 demanding the release of detainees who were arrested on the charge of cow slaughter. Police had arrested 10 people from Bakaiya rural municipality on September 19 after getting information about cow slaughter. Among the arrested ones, 16-year-old Sandesh BK was released whereas others are kept in custody for further investigation after adding 14 days of investigation time from the court. The participants of the demonstration carried placards with slogans like 'Stop Police suppression ' Repeal false accusation' 'Stop constitutional discrimination' 'Slaughtering cow is our right, not a crime' 'Release detainees without any condition'.
