Prisoners of Jaleshwor prison, joint prison of Dhanusha and Mahottari district have started an agitation from September 28 citing that staffs of the jail are harassing and eve-teasing female relatives who come to visit the inmates in the prison.  The agitating inmates have staged demonstration demanding the suspension of a driver, Prem Kanta Thakur of Musaharniya rural municipality-8, working in Jaleshwor prison who used to tease the family and visitors of the prisoners. The prisoners locked the door from inside and chanted slogans. According to Chandradip Yadav, the watchmen of jail, Thakur used to harass the women and the prisoners have prepared applications demanding to take action against Thakur. According to the district administrative officer, Tirtharaj Bhattarai, the incident is being investigated and the action will be taken according to law because harassment of visitor in prison is not allowed.
