Child Development Facilitators of the Parbat district become agitated demanding increased wages announced during the government's budget for the current fiscal year. The agitation was organized by child development facilitation workers, school staff and school assistants working in schools within Kusma Municipality. Stating that the municipality has ignored the salary announced by the government even after four months, they have said that they will not return to school until they get the increased salary.
Kushma municipality facilitators and school employees have been protesting at the Kusma municipality office since October 1 demanding a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 as prescribed by the government. It was mentioned in the budget that the then finance minister of the Oli government Bishnu Poudel would give Rs 8,000 through the budget statement and the remaining Rs 7,000 would be given by the local municipalities. Kusma's school has 73 child development facilitators, 65 assistants and 18 staff.
