Manali Bista, vice-chairperson of Manahari Rural municipality, who has been involved in controversy time and again, has allegedly threatened the employees working in the rural municipality. The employees are now on a strike demanding leave saying that they could not work in the financial administration branch due to the unrestrained activities of Vice President Bista.

Sangita Adhikari, Accounts Officer of the Financial Administration Branch, said that the branch was closed after Bista continued to use abusive and threatening words. Accounts Assistant Regmi said that they were forced to close the branch after the pressure from Bista continued.
