Akhil Krantikari, a student organization close to the CPN (Revolutionary Maoist), staged a protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products on October 31. Harikrishna Gajurel, chairman of Akhil Krantikari, said that they had protested against the government's decision to increase the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene and LP gas. He accused the government of increasing prices without considering the needs of the people and urged the ruling parties to resign if they could not serve the people.
