Farmers staged a symbolic demonstration on the coordination of the All Nepal Farmers Federation Upatyaka Coordinating Committee near CPN-UML, by carrying a paddy plant. The demonstrators demanded compensation due to the rains in the monsoon north and low-quality paddy seeds. They have demanded that the problems of the farmers in the valley who are facing problems due to poor quality paddy seeds should be solved and action should be taken against the importers and sellers of low-quality paddy seeds. They have also demanded to provide proper compensation to the farmers by assessing the damage caused to the paddy fields during the rainy season. 

The protesters have also demanded the establishment of a procurement centre to procure the products including paddy produced by the farmers. They have also demanded waiver of loans for small farmers, waiver of interest for big farmers, provision of free agricultural insurance, immediate implementation of Farmers Card and provision of Farmers Pension.
