ANNFSU burnt effigy of Prime Minister to protest against the price hike in the petroleum products

ANNFSU, a student organization of the main opposition party CPN-UML, staged a protest against the increase in the price of petroleum products. Students demonstrated outside Ratnarajya Laxmi Campus (RR) at Pradarshani Marg in Kathmandu. They carried placards with slogans such as "We don't know profit and loss, we don't consider price increase". They also burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The Nepal Oil Corporation on Wednesday night increased the price of cooking gas by Rs 75 and diesel and petrol by Rs 3 each. The student wing of the ruling coalition has also announced agitation against the price hike.
