ANNFSU (CPN-UML) staged a transportation strike in Butwal after the Nepal Oil Corporation increased the prices of petrol, diesel, gas and aviation fuel. The union staged the strike since the Nepal oil corporation increased the price twice a month. Secretary of Rupendehi, Prakash Parajuli, informed that the union has demanded to return the price hike.
The corporation has stated that the usual price of petrol and diesel has been increased by three rupees. Petrol is now priced at Rs.136 per litre and diesel at Rs.119 per litre. The price of gas has gone up by Rs.75 per cylinder to Rs.1,575 per cylinder.
