The Nepal Bar Association staged a demonstration at the Supreme Court premises demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher Rana on November 15. Police controlled the two groups of protestors who were demonstrating against the chief justice. Journalists who went to cover the protest were not allowed to enter the premises today.
Law practitioners gathered at the Nepal Bar Association building with banners and marched to the Supreme Court premises chanting slogans. Law practitioners belonging to Patan High Court Bar, Special Court Bar, District Court Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur have also participated in today's sit-in protest.
