Province 1, Udayapur, Katari, Ward 12
Ward chairperson and parents padlocked Janamukhi Secondary School in Kateri Municipality-12 on November 14, alleging that teachers who went home for Dashain and Tihar holidays did not return to the school. The school reopened a week before Dashain after being closed for a long time due to the Corona pandemic. Parents claimed that they were forced to lock the school because the school staff did not return when it reopened after the holidays.
Nine teachers, including school principal Tarani Prasad Chaudhary, have not returned after the Dashain Tihar holiday. The school has 16 teaching staff. Ward Chairman Poudel said that they were forced to padlock the school after more than half of the teachers did not show up. The school has been locked saying that the future of the students is ruined.
