Nagendra Thakur, a teacher at Ram Dulari Janata Secondary School of Kalyanpur municipality-11, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old student of grade 4. The incident of sexual assault was reported by the victims to the principal on December 3, but instead of taking action against it, the principal called a meeting with the management committee to settle the incident inside the school.
According to the principal, the accused did not commit such activity knowingly, and the teacher touched the cheeks of the students mistakenly while checking the copy. The principal allegedly warned the management committee regarding the assault and settled the issue inside the school.
The father of the victims has demanded to take legal action against the accused. Where as the accused teacher has denied the allegation. He also demanded not to make this incident huge news since it has been settled already by the management committee. Parents have objected to the school's attempt to keep secret the incident of teacher's sexual abuse in the name of 'resolving' the issue through discussion.
