A team from the Lalitpur Police Campus arrested 35-year-old Ekkaraj Bhujel on suspicion of strangling his wife to death in Kupandol, Lalitpur. On December 2, Bhujel informed his neighbours that his wife Januka had been discovered dead in the room. The police then rushed to the scene. According to police, Ekkaraj arrived at the room in the afternoon after drinking alcohol and began attacking his wife, claiming that she had slapped him. He is then accused of strangling his wife with a shawl.
