The landless people of eastern Chitwan demonstrated on December 7 at Ratnanagar on the leadership of Nepal Settlement Protection Society-Chitwan. They complained of delays in distributing the land ownership certificates and mentioned their plan of not giving votes in upcoming elections if the land ownership certificates were not distributed before the elections. 

The demonstrators carried the placards that read "No Land ownership certificate, no vote", "Give land ownership certificate based on settlements", " Stop fake politics", " Stop asking votes in credits" etc. The rally started from Nipani Chowk in Ratnagar and converged to the corner assembly at the gate of Ratnanagar municipality in Bakulahar by traversing through Tandichowk.
