Human Rights and Peace Society staged a demonstration in front of the Buddhist Stupa in Kathmandu demanding the resignation of Cholendra Shamsher Jabara, Chief Justice on the occasion of International Human Rights Day. The demonstrators displayed placards against the chief justice and also chanted slogans. 

Speaking on the occasion, Govind Khanal, central president of the society, accused Chief Justice Rana of abandoning democracy. He said that Rana's judicial conduct was in question and that he was immoral.
