A 25-year-old man was found murdered in a forest in Janaki rural municipality-9 of the Kailali district of far-western Nepal on December 18. The victim is identified as Arun Das.DSP Bed Prakash Joshi, the spokesperson of the Kailali District Police Office, says Das had left his house on the morning of December 18. His body, with the throat slit, was found dead inside the Amarawati community forest in the ward at around 3:45 pm on the same day. Joshi says the DPO in coordination with the provincial police units has launched an investigation. Sniffer dogs have also been mobilized.
