The auto-rickshaw drivers in Kalali agitated against the odd-even vehicle system implemented by the district traffic police and picketed the Dhangadi Metropolitan Office on December 19. "The odd-even system mars the drivers who work on a daily wage basis.", said Lal Bahadur Kami, the district chairperson of Cart entrepreneurs and Labor organization. He condemned the district traffic police for making the life of drivers difficult instead of regulating the auto-rickshaw by licensing.
The agitated laborers mentioned declaring programs of movements for time infinite until the odd-even system is repealed. The district traffic police implemented the odd-even system on December 16 stating increased accident risk due to increased crowd inside the metropolitan.
