The locals and relatives demonstrated in front of the Area Police Office-Tikapur on December 21, condemning the brutal murder of 25-year-old Arjun Das from Janaki rural municipality-9 in Kailali district. They demanded to reveal the perpetrator and guarantee peace and safety of the area.

The body of the deceased was recovered hung on the tree with head chopped at Amaravati Community Forest on December 18. The police were informed by the people who saw the dead body while going to the forest to fetch the animal fodder.  The locals have made a struggling committee on the coordination of a local Lalit Pariyar to create pressure on the investigation. The police have stated about the ongoing investigation from their ends. They also mentioned arresting Kamal Saud on December 19 to get leads for further investigation.
