The trio allegedly misbehaved with a woman from Khajura in Banke who came to attend Kul Puja of Gyanwali family in Lekbesi municipality-4, Dashrathpur. "The women had come to her paternal family to observe Kul Puja on December 19. We saw the video on social media where the woman was abused by the priest and faith healers during the Kul Puja. Then we started the investigation.", said Kanak Bahadur Shahi, DSP of District Police Office, Surkhet. According to him, the police is also looking for others involved in the incident. 

The 5 minutes 18 seconds long video that was made public on the evening of December 20 showed that the woman was shivering and a few men who presented themselves as 'incarnation of gods' were beating and abusing her.
