Locals padlocked the ward office in Dailekh claiming that the local representatives only included their own people in the Prime Minister's Employment Program. Chamunda Bindrasaini Municipality-1,have recommended 36 people for the Prime Minister's Employment Program. Local youths have protested saying that only people of Rang Bahadur Tamang leader of CPN-UML, are included in most of the wards. A group of youths led by local Pawan Tamang padlocked the ward office. Pawan says, “Unemployed youths have not been able to get involved even once. But under the guidance of the ward chairperson, some have repeated time and time again.
Pawan said that the ward chairperson had included his close cadres, daughters and relatives and that is why they were forced to padlock after neglecting the poor and destitute. According to Pawan, Bhirman Road and Koldanda-Dhyap road construction projects have been selected from the ward office under the employment program.
Ward Secretary Bhupendra Shahi said that an all-party meeting was being held to resolve the issue. Ward Chairman Rang Bahadur Tamang, on the other hand, said that the padlock was done on the basis of political affiliation. He says, “Out of the list of 359 people, only 18 people had to be selected. We had taken the program forward by including all the youth. But some young people padlocked on the basis of limited interests. '
